About Partners in Mission
Inspired by the East African Balokole Revival Movement of 1929, Partners in Mission (PIM) is interdenominational; it includes Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, and Africa Inland Mission churches in its international support and ministry network. Reverend John Mulindabigwi is Coordinator of PIM; he works fulltime in the ministry.
Reverand John took the position of PIM Coordinator following calling of God in 1999. He is an ordained Minister and Canon with Ankole Diocese of the Anglican Church of Uganda. In addition to being Regional Coordinator of Partners in Mission (PIM), which includes the Great Lakes Region of Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, DR Congo and Sudan), he also serves as Missions Coordinator at All Saints Church, Mbarara, Uganda; and is chairman of the board of directors, Scripture Union of Uganda. The Mission of Partners In Mission
- Fellowship: As Christians we gather together from different communities, denominations, generations, and cultures around the shared vision of God's love.
- Evangelism: From there we go together to proclaim the Gospel that Jesus has come to a hurting world with a message of salvation and redemption. Ours is a holistic Gospel that not only preaches the Good News of Jesus Christ but also offers material and spiritual healing to those in need.
- Reconciliation: We are Christians from different cultures. We work with Christians from different cultures who at times are in conflict with each other. As we worship together, share meals together; as we preach the gospel and help the needy together, we begin in this shared fellowship a process of healing and reconciliation. We do not preach reconciliation; we live reconciliation.
- Networking: Gathering in our fellowships, we continue to build one another up so we are all able to do the work of evangelism and reconciliation. The cycle of gathering in and sending out continues.
We seek to promote socio-economic development based on Christian foundations. To this end, we have established Kamwenge Secondary and Vocational Institute. Property has been donated for the PIM Center in Mbarara. In the future, the facility will host the PIM offices as well as offering a retreat and training center.
What We Do
- We work together in teams throughout the Great Lakes Region, visiting and witnessing in refugee camps, schools, churches, and hospitals. We organize and hold conferences to encourage and train young Christian leaders. Most of all, we pray for each other as Christians who attempt to "walk in the light of Jesus".
- PIM seeks to bring about reconciliation and fellowship among rival Christian groups through the redeeming blood of Christ. The task is a delicate one and not easy. Only by the work of the Holy Spirit and through the love of Christ will forgiveness and reconciliation be achieved.
