MISSIOCAMP 2010 at Mbarara High School; May 1 – 7, 2010
The theme of MissioCamp 2010, held in Mbarara, Uganda, was “Jesus is the Foundation” taken from I Corinthians 3:11.
Teams, choirs, pastors, bishops, and youths came from Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya. A large number of youth and their leaders and pastors also came from the host country. In total over 300 people attended the camp.
Resource Mobilization
We were blessed by churches and institutions who gave generously towards the camp. People and churches offered bananas, milk and bulls to slaughter during the camp. They gave bags of beans, rice, posho, rice, and finances to ease the cost of hosting the camp and subsidize the conferees. The host venue, Mbarara High School, made available ample accommodations for the conferees, an expansive dining room, and classrooms for group Bible studies and workshops.

Several topics were addressed during the conference:
- Unity in Diversity
- History and Roots of Missiocamp
- Awakening and Revival History
- Bible Exposition
- Youth Involvement in Development
- The Call of God on the Woman
- The Power of Prayer
- How to Prepare and Share Your Testimony
- Evangelism
- Praying for the Nations
- The Environment and Our Obligation to It

The climax of the camp was a campfire celebration where young people danced round and round the fire as is traditional of African nights. Several teams from different nations presented songs. Not even the drizzle would lull their enthusiasm or put out the fire in their midst. In his climax message, Bishop Gasatura said that God was giving the young people a new heart and spirit to help them walk with Him. He challenged the young people to allow God to correct their divergent ways and bring freshness in their expression of the gospel. He called on them to be courageous ambassadors of Christ in the Great Lakes Region and beyond. He shared from his own experience and said that he was confident that God would use them.
